Mid-America Seeds & Agri-Services LLC (MASA) offers an extensive range of conventional (non-GMO), heirloom, and organic products that will perform competitively across multiple locations, soils and environments. The company has the technology and the access to a variety of crops for the production of populations of diverse genetic background as well as the development of hybrids.
Organic and Non-GMO agriculture is one of the fastest growing segments of the agriculture industry. MASA has access to elite germplasm and “finished” organic hybrids.
With expertise both within the company and with collaborators, MASA is in position to provide the germplasm, the technical guidance, and the custodial means for developing a successful contractual agreement with seed partners.
MASA is a registered seed dealer offering an extensive range of high-quality turf and grass seeds and traits and cover crops for domestic and overseas markets.
MASA provides services for consulting to crop production, product development or breeding, seed production, and product commercialization projects in developing agricultural marketplaces.
MASA implements both traditional conventional breeding technologies (genetics and traits that produce high yield), and biotechnologies, including a doubled-haploid (DH) production system with one or more proprietary molecular-assisted selection (MAS) protocols that will not only accelerate the conventional breeding program and make early release of elite germplasm with superior and desirable traits possible but will also have greater utility in other research aspects of plant breeding, genetics and genetic engineering.
New, economical, efficient solutions and technologies, including Phytoremediation, for environmental remediation
Plant biostimulants contain substances(s) and/or micro- organisms whose function when applied to plants or the rhizosphere is to stimulate natural processes to enhance/benefit nutrient uptake, nutrient efficiency, tolerance to abiotic stress, and crop quality.
Biostimulants have no direct action against pests, and therefore do not fall within the regulatory framework of pesticides.
